Properties

Property Type Description

durationMs

number | "live"

Required: The duration of the cut in milliseconds, or "live": keep reading as the recording goes on, waiting at what is recorded so far rather than ending there (with startBehindLiveMs, a timeshift). "live" is for a player’s last cut list entry only; a cut to a file refuses it.

sessionNum?

number

(Optional) Optional: If it’s ambiguous which session contains the start time (for example, due to a system clock change), then specify the correct session

startBehindLiveMs?

number

(Optional) Instead of startDateTime: start this many milliseconds before where the selected streams have recorded to (the earliest of their ends, in the newest session that recorded any of them), found as the player or cut opens. It is taken from the media’s own times, so neither the client’s clock nor the engine’s comes into it. A player started closer to live than the store can give media (a GOP or an audio fragment, whichever is longer) waits for it.

startDateTime?

Date

(Optional) The start point for the cut in UTC. Required unless startBehindLiveMs is given.

streamSelection

MediaStoreStreamSelection[]

Required: The streams you want to select from the asset

trimPartialGops

boolean

Required: In a video stream, if a start time or end time falls mid-gop, should the gop be trimmed to be frame accurate?
