Client-supplied identity and metadata for the flow the push registers. Every field is optional and an empty one leaves the engine’s own behaviour in
place, so a client that sets nothing registers exactly the flow it did
before. The engine cannot invent any of this: it knows the essence it is
pushing but not what the flow is to the operator, nor which source it is a
